1950s Eyelet Dress

This is in great condition for its age. It has a really pretty floral-ish eyelet pattern. It feels like a light woven cotton but I’m not sure what the fabric content is. Plastic buttons and a unique button + snap closure in the front waist/hip area (pictured.) I don’t know what it is called but I’ve seen it on other vintage dresses. I wanted to trade this because it hits at a weird place on my knees/legs but I realized there is a 3” hem allowance so now I’m not sure! I might take the hem down. But I thought I’d see what’s out there anyway!
