Y2K Does 40s Black Knit Rayon Dress

Fell in love with this knit 40s-style Y2K dress and thought I could use it for dancing, but didn’t notice the holes in the side seams until after I laundered it. I believe they can be repaired, but I’m too disappointed to do it myself. The dress also runs more like an XS, and at my stage of life I’d prefer a roomier area around the hips. It does stretch but it hugs the curves in the bust, waist, and hip area until it flares at the bottom. I think even without repairs it would make a great Wednesday costume! Hope someone can use it; otherwise I’ll probably send to fabric recycling in the new year.
