I love Butterick 4449, I’ve made 3 of these 70s skirts for myself, 2 for my BFF and another for a close friend so we could all be a matching squad. The pattern envelope’s description: just above mid knee length, slightly flared skirt, contoured waistband and exposed side front zipper closings with applied plackets. Topstitch trim. I sewed this entire skirt from my vintage stash. I’m unsure what the main fabric is, but it has a little stretch and is a light denim adjacent weight. The waistband and zipper plackets are a 60s cotton novelty ric rac print. Details: vintage materials, red topstitching, two matching pink zippers, serged seams, machine sewn hem. This is truly a one of a kind skirt. Freshly laundered with unscented soap and air dried. It could use a light ironing. Bye bye buddy. You were a good skirt. I love you!!
