I made this beautiful shirred dress a couple years ago. I had found two yards of this beautiful lightweight fabric at a discount fabric store and decided I definitely needed a dress out of it. The dress itself is only two panels straight down and then there are rows of elastic shirring at the top to give it shape. The fabric is quite sheer but it’s something of a linen/cotton blend. It has the feel of linen, just very very lightweight. All seams are finished and it has a double rolled baby hem. As it is 33 inches wide all the way down, it fits a variety of sizes. The elastic shirring is 13 inches flat and un-stretched.
