Cotton summer dress

From Emily: Loved this dress and got a lot of wear out of it in the warmer months. It’s lightweight and breezy, and the adjustable tie straps make it easy to get a good fit. I’m trying to downsize my closet and prioritizing my own makes, so putting this one back out there. From the maker: This is a quick and dirty copy of a dress we carried at a shop I worked at years ago. I made it to throw on and wear to work. And people did think it was the real thing! Its a little scrappier than that though. The sides have French seams but at the back bottom hem there’s some odd patchworking I did to make the yardage work. As a whole though it makes a nice impression. I just don’t wear it anymore and thought maybe someone else would enjoy it, (though I never imagined that way back when I made it so it’s not finished as perfectly as if I made it for someone else). Straps are adjustable for length. There are little side slits at the bottom hem and the back piece is longer than the front. The material is a very lightweight cotton, great for humid summers. The front neckline is the lower piece and the higher one goes in the back. Bottom sweep of the dress 29”.
