90's velvet cocktail evening dress

Lovely dress in excellent condition! Sadly I neglected to read the measurements properly, and this doesn’t fit me. I haven’t worn it since receiving it, so the condition is the same. I did update the color to red, not black, as I feel the color is a bit more burgundy. Original description: Found at thriftstore with no tags, I am geussing 90's era, also it is a velvet material but no tags to say, and no size listed but I am a modern dress size 8 or M, so somewhere in that zone. Would be good for a date night, party, wedding or special occasion. The color is nearly black but a dark burgundy redish purple, I tried to get the purple tone of the color to come through in the photos but it didn't really come through.
