Upcycled purple/plaid tank top

This is the upcycled remains of a roughly 15 year old shirt, but possibly older, as I initially acquired it secondhand. The sleeves were removed a few years ago, when it reached the back of my closet and I thought it may need a change to get me to wear it again, only to have it reach the back of closet again. I think the real problem is the fit. I love purple and have always thought this design was cute with the plaid backing, but it is just too small for me to wear comfortably. While the tag says medium, xhilaration is also a junior's brand, making it small for a typical adult medium. This is pretty tight around the bust, but someone with a smaller chest than I would fit it well. Photos of alteration/mending are the last four. Somewhere in the process of removing the sleeves past me made a mistake and damaged the join of the panels. There is also a square of added fabric near the bottom due to an unrelated tear. They are fixed now and seem very secure, but this item is definitely not in mint condition. I still have the fabric from the removed sleeves, and can include some of it in the package by request.
