Made from a rescued vintage duvet cover. Unfortunately the tag was missing, but I guess it's either a 100% cotton or a cotton linen blend. The front button placket features vintage mother of pearl buttons. A cute tie detail on the sleeves and gathered peplum, together with the gathering under the bust and on the shoulders, make this a very romantic blouse. Self made bias binding and hand stitching on the tie make for a neat finish. The subtle rolled hem on the peplum blends into the background to let the rest shine. . Mods: - 1" full bust adjustment - lengthened the bodice above the apex by 1 1/16" - raised the neckline by about 2" - removed the gaping in the neckline - redrafted the facing and added two buttons. The seam allowance on the side seams is 1/2" and was finished separately. However, when attaching the gathered peplum it somehow folded to one side (see picture). Still, taking in or letting out the seam should be fairly easy. My old serger struggled with the fabric (no idea why), but I used a zigzag stitch to go over any remaining unfinished edges. On one sleeve I accidentally snipped too close to the seam, which I covered with fusible interfacing to reinforce it (see picture). No spots or holes, I use a laundry detergent that's free from fragrance, don't smoke and don't have any pets.
