First I took gold-filled wire and knit it into a tube using the Viking knit technique, then I slid purple dyed freshwater pearls into the center, then twisted the tube between the pearls to hold them in place. The effect is sturdy, but looks delicate and lacy. I made this many years ago as part of a set of earrings, but have lost the other one of the pair and it works equally well as a pendant. I will include a jump ring, but not the gold chain.
