Knit beret with cabling and lace patterns, for someone with a small head (apparently I've got a tiny head) Made it many years ago and can't remember the name of the pattern or the yarn, but it's a soft wool-bamboo blend in a color between deep lilac and cornflower. The color is more saturated than I was able to get it to show up in the photos, not grayish at all, and is closer to the last picture than the first two. Probably not machine washable, but I can't remember for sure. It's very pretty, but berets just aren't my style anymore. It's not that slouchy, and fits more like a short beanie. I haven't worn it all that much, so not many signs of wear--just a little fuzzy at the brim, but not pilling.
