Build a trade

This is made using the “arctic light sweater” with some alterations: shaping added to neck, sleeves are more fitted and is a cropped length with some tapering towards the waist. It’s got raglan sleeves (total length of the raglan is 9”) and ribbed cuffs/bottom hem that follow the garment instead of cinching inwards. Made with 2 yarns held together: merino wool and a mohair/silk blend. It feels luxurious and is incredibly soft, there is a subtle halo effect that’s hard to capture in picture.

“I made this during a time when I was studying flying in circuit pattern/landings, I’d be very confused/stressed/frustrated/defeated when I came back from a lesson and knitting this helped me cope. In a way this pattern is very much like flying circuits (just going round and round over and over, not every round is the same but there are repeats some days later). I never intended to wear this piece, it was always meant to be for someone else to enjoy.”
