Hand-dyed in a luminous, bright silvery grey, the natural lustre of the silk catches the light that it appears to have been knit from sterling silver chainmaille. The result is soft armour: substantial, sculptural, and quietly dramatic.  What is Tussah Peace Silk? Tussah silk is a natural silk produced by wild silk moths. It is prized for its beautifully textured character, softness, breathability, and ability to help manage moisture and temperature. Peace silk refers to silk produced from cocoons after the moth has emerged rather than through the conventional process of killing the pupa inside the cocoon.
