Madewell Perfect Vintage Jeans Rainbow Visibly Mended

I got these jeans secondhand and mended the ripped knee. I used cotton embroidery floss in rainbow colours, cotton fabric to show beneath the rip, and a large piece of cotton denim inside the leg to keep the whole thing secure. Since I mended these the denim around the top of legs/crotch started to loose its elasticity (likely from previous owner putting these in a hot dryer). I didn’t mind or find it too noticeable and continued to wear these pants until they didn’t fit. (The area could be covered by a patch if it’s bothersome). These 🌈 jeans brought me joy every time I wore them! I’m sad they no longer fit (I’ll have to find another pair to fix up) and I hope there’s someone else out there who will find joy from these pants and rock them!!
