I visited the Beau McCall retrospective at the Fuller Craft Museum back in 2024 and was so inspired by his use of buttons that I went home and started making my own button skirt using a denim mini skirt from Target as the base and sewing on hundreds of secondhand buttons from my button collection. I made this for myself over the course of a month and hadn’t planned to part with it, so the interior sewing isn’t perfect and some of the buttons are a little loose. It no longer fits me and the thought of taking it apart to salvage the buttons makes me a little sad, so I’m offering it here in the hopes of finding it a new home with someone who will love it. I recommend handwashing if possible.
