Interesting asymmetrical dress coat

I don't even know where to begin with this coat. Do I start with the intentionally asymmetrical collar? The button detail at the cuff? The inverted box pleats? The asymmetrical front bodice? The meticulous, carefully sewn lining? How it's tailored with princess seams so it is super flattering and could almost be worn as a dress? How about the rich burgundy with contrasting cream and teal accents? Who dreamed up this design? Who sewed it? It is almost certainly one of a kind. I wish so much that I had the back story. I found it at my local thrift and fell in love with the idea of it, but it is fairly lightweight and I don't often wear a cotton twill coat. (I think it's cotton twill, there's no label, so that's another mystery.) So, I am gifting it, but it needs to go to someone who is super into it! This is a coat that could become part of someone's style identity. This coat has main character energy!
