Berries and mushrooms tie-neck top

Shannyn: this is such a sweet top/fabric! I’m not giving it as much wear as it deserves, happy to send it along to someone who will. ☘️ 🚨 this item was made by an enthusiastic but not very well trained sewist!! if you are looking for exquisite perfection, please turn your eyes elsewhere!! 🚨 One more example of me putting the fabric before the clotheshorse…found a bizarre little nightgown??? in this silky synthetic-ish-something at the thrift market and could not resist the pattern—berries, mushrooms, ladybugs 🍓🐞 🍄‍🟫🌱 so fricken cute!!! But not, it turns out, something I’d wear. I took the nightie apart and made this top, which means there are some very odd seam placements/use of original seams based on how I managed to fit the pieces together, but hopefully that’s like cute and quirky?? The tie at the neck was meant to be a kinda vintagey nod to match the fabric but I’m not sure it worked and also I just kinda made up how to do it so it might be embarrassing to anyone who is a knowledgeable sewist, sorry. For the record, it is meant to be a litttle off-center but I feel like it’s too subtle so now it just looks askew. Whoops. The overall sewing on this isn’t a total disaster imho but it’s also kinda flowy and forgiving so that probably helps! Still obsessed with this print, regardless.
