Jacket 3966

I first made this jacket pattern in college and have made it three or four times. For this version. I took the opportunity to teach myself how to make bound buttonholes by hand. They are a true pain. The interior buttonholes are finished by hand. Exterior fabric is a mystery cotton from an estate sale. Interior is a red and white check. It is a fairly lightweight, almost canvas so this is a good transition piece but not dead of winter jacket. Friends, I hate to say but I will be trading this without the buttons. They were a very special Etsy buy and are being repurposed on a new make. Even if you are not a hardcore sower you should be able to be able to sew on new buttons and personalize it to make it your own
