1950s or 60s Hawaiian bathing suit

This was my mom's bathing suit that I believe she had custom made in Hawaii in the mid to late 50s although it could be from the early 60s. There's no size tag but I used to wear it when I was a small and medium and a 36B to 34C chest, but it sadly no longer fits. The measurements are tricky because the chest area pops out and there are large panels of smocking on the sides. Unstretched, those panels are about 3 inches wide but they both stretch to about 7 inches. There's boning in the chest area. It has a zipper and hook and eye closure. When I first put it on, I was amazed at how it gave me that bombshell 50s look. Originally, this had a long cape that buttoned in and went over one shoulder, but I sadly got rid of that when I was in college.
