Lodenfrey *wool* Coat

* Sizing is based on how it fits on me, but please refer to measurements! * I also can’t completely verify the decade date, but my best guess is somewhere between the 60s-80s. Probably more so on the older side, as my grandmother lived a large portion of her life where she was from in Europe, so this was probably a piece she purchased while there. There is no care tag or materials tag, so this garment is likely pre 1971. * I am not positive of the material because there is no material tag, but based on knowing my grandmother, this company, and the feel of everything, the outer main outer body feels like a solid wool or wool blend of some sort and the sleeve lining feels like “silky” polyester. The body inside lining (patterned) feels like a cotton blend. Lovely vintage coat! This was my grandmother’s, and man did she have style. I was so excited to add this piece to my closet. But truth be told, I don’t reach for coats like this. I am just a sweater girl at heart. I would love to trade for a wool knit sweater or cardigan to take the place of what I was hoping this piece would fulfill for me. The condition is good! Minimal signs of wear, I don’t think it was worn extremely frequently. My grandmother took amazing care of her clothing. The color is somewhere between a brick red / dark coral /and deep autumn pink. The pictures in natural light closer up show the truest color. But it definitely leans on the warmer side of the color spectrum and more muted, less bright. It is lined on the sleeves and inside body. Has two generous outer pockets and functional buttons to close.! This piece is so sentimental to me. It definitely embodies my grandmother’s style, so classy and timeless. However it deserves a home that will cherish it, and I just won’t be getting the use out of it that it deserves. o
