Red and Black Striped Dress

It pains me to list this one, because until I “outgrew” it, it was my favorite summer dress. Cute, effortless, and sturdy, this has been worn and washed a good bit and still looks great. The fit is excellent—darts and a side zipper make the bodice snug but not uncomfortable and the skirt swish is perfect. Has pockets! Lined in 100% cotton. The only thing that’s less than excellent on this dress is shown in the photos. When J Crew made this dress, they didn’t totally stitch down the straps, so the previous owner stitched them down herself. That stitching is just now starting to come loose. It doesn’t affect the wearability of this dress at all, but the loose end of the straps may be annoying when the stitching comes out and you may want to stitch them back down yourself. Frankly, I had never noticed this before I inspected the dress ahead of listing it, but it bears disclosure.
