This shirt is a delight! The sizing is super odd through, and I find it kinda binds up under my arms because of the cut. It would probably do best on S/M where the bias cut can flow a little more. The patch has so many fun colors and has held up really well. OP: First things first: this shirt is emphatically not an XL in State the Label sizing. Don’t be fooled by your past experience or the deceptive measurements: this shirt is better suited for someone who typically wears a smaller size. After finding that out the hard way when I bought it second-hand, I realized that it’s because the shirt is cut on the bias and sort of wraps around if any stretch is required. I’ve been having fun altering clothes lately, and have spent a fair amount of time adding fabric and learning to sew with the curves of how things wear, so I enjoyed this as a challenge. The patch Ace & Jig’s Moss fabric from a recent patch kit. The floss and embroidery thread are Aurifil cotton, and I tried to anchor the patch in a way so that it’s solidly attached, but strategically connected to allow the bias cut to do its thing. The shirt itself is in great condition, with the only flaw being a very, very slight discoloration under the arms.
