Ellen: redid the inseam to be shorter but still too big Burgundy red shorts with elastic waist and drawstring. They are knee-length on me. There is some pilling at the crotch, pictured in the fourth photo. Very comfortable. I love the material and color, but I'm finding that I don't reach for pants with a full elastic waistband or drawstrings. My home is smoke free, low scent, and dog friendly.
