Purchased as new secondhand. I removed the “do not remove this tag” tag, wore it for 35 angst minutes around my house and concluded that this dress, although beautiful and well-made and classic and amply pocketed, does not make me feel like myself nor like a version of myself that I think I am currently aspiring to be. This was my first Christy Dawn experience, so a few fit notes for anyone new like me: the cut is generous pretty much everywhere but if you’re busty then think carefully—the cross-front style is closed by a single snap and while the dress “fit” me nicely, that closure was nowhere near enough to keep things decent. Had I kept this, I would likely have replaced with a hook and eye or similar. Otherwise surprisingly nice proportions for me as a tall, curvy person who would usually not wear a size S, so maybe it’s supposed to be WAY more oversized? I think maybe that’s the case with a lot of stuff on here but they can’t stop my midsized ass from just wearing them 🤷🏻‍♀️
