gahhh this one hurts 🥺😩 i bought this to wear to my kid’s bar mitzvah but, despite professionally tailoring the slip, it just didn’t fit well enough for me to comfortably wear it.. the bottom half is very open, but the shoulders/bust/arms are quite narrow. its also suuuuuuper long! i’m 5’9” and have never in my life had a garment be longer than i wanted it to be until now - this dress is not messing around at a whopping 62”! the measurements above are for the outer piece (please give or take a half inch or so on waist/bust, as its difficult to know where those places exactly are with this shape!) the slip underneath is approximately 42” long with an 18” bust, 16.5” waist and 22” hips, with 9” slits on both sides. it used to be ankle length but the tailor took it up so you could see more leg underneath. she also took in the sides to their current measurements, but i believe the way she sewed it would allow that to be undone for a bit more room in the hips/waist if desired (i tried to get a picture of that as i don’t have much sewing vocab). there are snaps on the shoulders to hold the slip straps in place. the only flaw i can note (besides some loose strings inside the slip from tailoring) is a reddish stain at the very front/bottom of the outer layer (see pic) - i haven’t tried to get it out but it seems very doable! it feels surface level, and is pretty impossible to see when its on. the outer dress looks so so good over all kinds of pieces, dressed up and down, so even if the slip doesn’t work for you, the top is truly a treasure! if it fit my arms/shoulders more comfortably, i’d wanna be buried in this thing. i believe this dress was originally like $400 or $500 new. i got it second hand but, assuming the og seller was honest, its only been worn once. needless to say, i’m gonna be real picky on this one - but i’d love to find someone to adore it! 🩵
