I bought this v Madewellian tee new from REI in 2024, while new to Chicago and still very much in the mindset of shopping for Austin temps and vibes. It has a light but sturdy and broken in hand feel, a straight cut, cute vintage-y stripes, and a folded sleeve detail I like. The fit was never great on me so I didn't wear it much, and it doesn't quite vibe with my more femme style these days. It has some light pilling throughout but it's honestly hard to say whether it's from wear or if the fabric is just a little nubby to begin with. The underarms are fine per the photos. I mostly wore this as a base layer but it'd be so cute under a long sleeve or as part of a warm weather shorts look.
