Vintage 60s 70s London Fog Jacket with Removable Sherpa Lining - 1964-1976

Vintage London Fog Jacket with Removable Sherpa Lining. This jacket is from sometime between 1964 when the company trademarked Claeth Cloth (basically just their cotton/poly rain resistant material - same as Burberry) and 1976 when the company moved out of Baltimore. Vintage London Fog does not get the love it deserves - really well-made pieces and awesome ads (see last 2 pics of ads from this coats era). Really beautiful (and warm jacket with the lining attached) that’s in great condition - still has all original hardware and buttons intact. Really inspected this, and only flaws I could find were name written on inside, a couple of missing threads at sleeve, light spots in a few places (I had to really look for these in natural light), and a very small separation/rip on the liner sleeve at end (this one was my fault because the zipper snagged it when I washed the liner - says dry cleaner for liner but is definitely fine in washing machine, sans any zipper mishaps 😳. Sounds like a long list, but that’s just because I really wanted everything noted. See pics for close-ups of everything. I spent literally years trying to find this jacket for my dad (he wanted a “nicer version of Columbo’s jacket”) but he just told me he never wore because he won’t wear used clothes because he insists somebody probably died wearing them 😂. SZ 42R but vintage so go by measurements. 25.5” armpit to armpit / 40” total length / 16.5” armpit to sleeve end / 18.5” shoulder.
