I painted this dress with plant extracts during pregnancy in preparation for my home birth. It’s based off of Whapio Diane Bartlett’s holistic stages of childbirth. Traveling up the mountain, giving birth, and emerging from the waves as a new mom (symbolized by the new moon, mushrooms, flowers, and butterfly.). It was extremely therapeutic for me! I never actually wore the dress, and just passing it along to see if anybody else wants it as a symbol of growth and rebirth for whatever season of life you’re in - or just for a fun painted dress! (I have all the stages written out if anybody wants them!) Past owner: This is a gorgeous dress! To make it fit my wardrobe better, I was thinking of removing the strap bows and the waist tie. I figure it’s a shame to do alterations if there’s someone who’d appreciate it more in its original splendor.
