Would be super cute for a teacher! I did not follow a pattern for this cardigan and made it up as I went. That being said, I ended up not loving the style at the end and have never worn it other than trying it on. I am typically a size large (33.5" waist) and it fits me, but would probably be better for someone who wears a medium. The shoulders don't have a lot of stretch and/or forgiveness
