Charlie Caftan

Closet Core Patterns Charlie Caftan made in Liberty of London Cotton Lawn, design Adelphi. I literally just finished this dress, but unfortunately I cut it out before I had better understanding of my own measurements and I cut it too large. I cut a size 20 and did take it in a bit, but it’s still too big and I think I’ve reached the point where I’m not willing to put any more work into cutting it down to fit me. At this point, I’m ready to let her go loose into the wild, and hope someone else loves her! This cotton lawn is opaque but super super light and airy. Excellent summer wear! Measurements are flat- there are waist ties to help cinch the waist in a bit as desired. In seam pockets, fully finished in French seams. There is a little bit of messiness at the upper border of the pockets on both side seams- this is the only area of the dress where I’m not super pleased with the finishing, but it’s still fine and doesn’t show at all while you’re wearing the dress. I have set this dress as available to purchase if desired- it might seem a little high, but it’s less than the price of the fabric to make it. I would really prefer to trade her though.
