a saga: i bought this cotton Everlane jumpsuit on posh thinking it was tan and intending to use it as workwear. then it arrived and was totally baby pink. i set out to pick up some tan dye and was won over by brown cyanotype (brownotype??) fabric dye. i brought some kelp (cystoseira) home and printed it… but the front came out way darker than the back and the undertones were still very red so i ultimately did a light tan dye over everything as i had originally thought. now it’s too unique for me to want to farm or paint in but i also don’t reach for it as much as i’d like. so i’m seeing what else is out there! i do love how it fits though. it’s a nice midweight cotton—sturdy but not at all workwear canvas. great for a hot sunny day when you want to stay covered. i ironed the pocket flaps down better after looking at these pics… the wrinkles are proof it’s been tucked away too deep in the closet
